Description

Comment on Organism Name: “In 2020, all species in the genus Ochrobactrum were re-affiliated to the genus Brucella. This change in nomenclature is based on a whole genome phylogenetic tree and doesn’t reflect a recognition that taxa previously considered within the genus Ochrobactrum are similarly pathogenic or harmful as the classical Brucella species, e.g. Brucella melitensis. Please see the ACDP guidelines, NCTC biosafety responsibility statement, and Culture Collections’ terms and conditions of supply.”"
