In Hep-2 cells from faeces of an HIV-positive 33 year-old patient with chronic diarrhoea positive for rotavirus in 1993 by Andrew Bailey of the Manchester Central Laboratory Services. Passaged twice in Hep-2 cells prior to depositing into NCPV.
