Frozen Cells for DNA and RNA Extraction

Frozen cell pellets can be produced from any of the cell lines available in ECACC's catalogues in addition to customer's own deposits. Cell lines can be expanded to any number of cells, or volume of culture specified; however, for convenience the majority of Human Genetic Service customers choose frozen, lymphoblastoid cell pellets prepared from four standard culture volumes (see below).

Cell pellets can be utilised for DNA and/or RNA extraction and our protocols have been specifically designed to suit the differing requirements, in terms of point of cell harvest, reagents used, and freeze methods.
