Then you should attend this workshop run by the European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC), the cell culture experts, and put current best practice cell culture at the core of your work.

Dr Amanda Capes-Davis, Chair of the International Cell Line Authentication Committee (ICLAC) will present on “Global solutions to the misidentification of cell lines”.

Also presenting:

  • Dr Edward Burnett, Head of Scientific Development at the Culture Collections of Public Heath England, presenting on advances in methods of authenticating cell lines and mycoplasma detection
  • Professor Valerie Speirs, Professor of Experimental Pathology & Oncology at University of Leeds, presenting on choosing cancer cell lines for research
  • Jim Cooper, Senior Scientist at the Culture Collections of Public Health England, presenting on linking cell lines to function and physiology

 

Other presentations include:

  • what is good cell culture practice?
  • making cell lines work for you
  • how the rules of publishing are changing
  • funding bodies’ perspectives on good cell culture practice

 

The day will end with a panel discussion with all speakers present.
