Cell Line Description

A human glioblastoma multiforme cell line derived from a 65-year-old male. The results of immunocytochemical analysis for GFAP, Vimentin, NestiN and CD33 were positive in early and late passage cells. MGMT methylation was negative. Karyotype: Near tetraploid; range 88 to 91 with two copies of marker: der(6;7;12;)del(6q ), t(6;11), t(6;17) del(17q). Six copies of chromosome 7 and other rearrangements with loss and gain of chromosome fragments involving chromosomes 1,2,3,5,10,9,19,20. The X and Y chromosomes are present.
