Deposit your cell lines

Why deposit with us?

Many researchers want to make their cell lines used in their research projects available to the wider scientific community. By depositing your cell lines you can help us keep the collection relevant for other researchers looking to reduce the burden of diseases such as diabetes and cancer, and infectious diseases, particularly those caused by emerging viruses.

How to deposit cell lines

The process for depositing cell lines is relatively simple and requires a dialogue between the depositor and ECACC. We will ensure that relevant biosafety and culture information is captured. The system is deliberately flexible to allow for any depositor restrictions or requirements. We can accept frozen vials (e.g. volume 1 ml) or growing cultures in a 25cm2 flask - see depositor forms for details.

Please wait for notification of acceptance of your cell line(s) before shipping.
